Hiking

Hiking is my other hobby. Do you love hiking too?  There is so much of the spiritual life in the world of the wilds … and, to be honest, the adventurer in me just won’t let me stop looking for what’s around the next bend in the trail. Running water has always spoken to me of eternity.

My hiking group and I have gone a lot of places in Wyoming and Colorado, and I’ve solved a lot of the problems of being a woman of my era while walking beside not-always like minded people.

And above we are at Colorado National Monument. The story about that hike was called The Grandma War.

My father was a great one for hiking and for going out in the wilds in a canoe as well. I like to think about him when I’m out there. I think I inherited this from him. The desire to be in wild places, walking to see what I can see. I wonder what you, reader, find to feel and see when you’re out there?

What is a Hike with “Exposure.”

Are There Exposures in Everyday Life as Well? What is a hike with exposure? We’re talking about cliffs. I belong to one MeetUp group of backpackers who keep posting trips I’m not sure I could survive. Doesn’t matter what clothes I wore, or what brand of backpack I managed to get. They just sounded hard.

Fashionable in the Mountains, Front Range Edition

It’s all about the gear, people. There’s even a name for it: The mountain person who has too much gear is a Gearhead. But the fact is, never mind all those people who want to be fashionable in the mountains. The truth is, fashion has little place out here. Outside Magazine Tells the Hipster Millenial
